Thompson Hospitality Partners with WashU Dining

As part of an inspirational campaign focusing on diverse businesses for Washington University in St. Louis, Anika Porter, CEO of Lifespiration and Angelia Bills, CEO of Eagle Productions, were pleased to have a conversation with Steven Bruner and Beth Casey, Directors of Joint Venture, Thompson Hospitality Corporation.

Thompson Hospitality Corporation, led by three siblings, is the largest minority-owned food service and facilities management company in the U.S, and is consistently in the top ten amongst all food service providers in the nation. Thompson has a presence in more than forty-five (45) states and four (4) foreign countries and is also a servicer to many Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Thompson is currently supporting WashU’s Danforth campus dining program through their relationship with Bon Appetit. Thompson will help identify, connect, and support local as well as diverse owned businesses to dining opportunities around campus and beyond.

It was great learning about their partnership with Washington University and having Janelle Turner, Director of Supplier Diversity and Andrew Watling, Associate Director of Dining, give expert advice on best practices for doing business with Washington University and why they are making intentional efforts to increase opportunities for diverse businesses on campus.
